Avantis is the ancient name of Evia originated by the name of the first prehistoric Greek tribe, the Avantis. The viticultural history of the Mountrichas family starts in the 19th century having 10 he of land.

Visitors discover the love for wine, through the tour, the tasting of wines in a natural landscape next to the vineyard that surrounds the Winery. They experience the ultimate care of wine tourism & wellness with the application of grape therapy, one of the first Greek cosmetics from grapes, by Lenga Oenotherapy.

Avantis Estate has conquered more than 400 awards from international wine competitions. At 2016, the Avantis red wine ‘Agios Chronos’, won the PLATINUM MEDAL 95/100 from Decanter Wine Awards 2016 in Great Britain. At 2019 the same wine ‘Agios Chronos’ (Holy Time) won the BEST IN SHOW 97/100 (Platinum of the Platinums) from Decanter Wine Awards China 2019.
